A Stunning Revelation Dec 14 2009

"Jesus said, 'But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and He will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth, to the farthest end of heaven.'” - Mark 13:24–27

I learned about the Second Coming of Christ as a child in Sunday School. One thing that puzzled me was hearing that everybody would see Jesus as He arrived. This just didn't seem possible because I knew the world was round. And there’s no way those of us in America would be able to see Him if He came again somewhere in the Middle East. The earth would block our view!

Well, that was before CNN! That was before we were able to witness live, international news events breaking anywhere in the world! With the development of CNN and Fox News and other live channels, and now with the worldwide coverage of the Internet, my question about how that passage of the Bible could happen is easy to understand.

But my question about seeing His return is not nearly as important as “Will you be ready for His return?” The next time you see Jesus -- be it upon your death or upon His return -- will it be a joyous reunion or a moment of stunned realization that you missed your chance? You can be sure of a joyous reunion if you know Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Please, if you haven't already asked Jesus to become Lord of your life, do it before it's too late.

I remember reading a tract years ago titled Goodnight or Goodbye. A father was dying and had 2 sons, one who was a Christian and one who wasn't a Christian. He told his Christian son goodnight because he knew he would see him in heaven. He told his unbelieving son goodbye becasue he knew he would not see him in heaven if he didn't accept Christ.

I enjoy getting the daily devotions but I noticed something in The Stunning Revelations Devotion today. I can't believe the statement made about CNN and the internet. I can promise the Jesus I know will need no TV or internet when he decides to return and take us home. Just look around us a look at the miracles already around us that anyone could think Jesus needs or help for his second coming. Someone needs to understand is that Jesus is so much more than any of us could ever imagine. My simple mind knows he is so much more than I will ever be and I am not worried about having anything that man has created to let me know that he has returned to take us home.

I agree with David. The antichrist will use the internet quite effectively, but Jesus will appear to all in a way that we cannot really imagine.

Jesus will not need the help of TV for everyone to see him in the clouds. He will be present to all worldwide. Those who believe will be joyous and those who do not believe will know, to their sorrow, how they were wrong in rejecting Him. Our job as followers of Christ is to spread the good news.

Just becasue Jesus might use CNN and Fox News does not mean that he is less than God. Remember, the knowledge for this technology came from God. Is it not possible that God would use the technology he gave to man to announce the second coming?

I don't know how everything will unfold, and that shouldn't surprise anyone, but what I do know is that God is God and He said this would happen in His Word so that settles it for me. He will let those who are alive when He comes, see as he sees fit so lets not get bogged down in trying to figure out how it will happen, just let everyone know that it will. My poor little mind is finite but God is infinite, so I will just trust Him to work out His own buisness, after all I have trusted Him with my eternal soul. I just say come quickly Lord Jesus.

Here's my brilliant thought...Doctors at one time used leeches to heal with and drilled holes in brains to heal tumors....man's technology is sooooo unglorious...CNN and FOX are not miraculous...as a matter of fact, I suspect the antichrist may use technology in his "miracles". The scripture says that on that day the light emanating from the LORD will make the sun and the moon ashamed...Jesus will not use man's lowly means to make his statement as he did when he walked this earth...He will come in the power and glory of the almighty...as in the PILLAR OF CLOUD like in the desert or something of that nature...how the whole world will see it is for HIM to accomplish since he DID make our eyes and only allows us to see what He wishes...on that day, believers and unbelievers alike will have their eyes opened to witness his glory...some to everlasting glory and some to everlasting shame...

I must also add...God didn't use an atomic bomb when he destroyed Sodom and her sister city....God didn't use a alien spacecraft when he guided the wiseman to the manger and his Holy Child...He didn't use Genetic Engineering when he caused Aaron's staff to blossom....He didn't use a diamond-tipped drill-bit when he carved the ten commandments into stone with his finger(probably his pinky)...He fashioned MAN from some dust and then breathed life into his nostrils...he caused a hand to appear before an obnoxious king and write judgment on his wall and he didn't have to use a hologram or a projector....the list of his wonders recorded and witnessed goes on and on...and on top of it all, if, during the tribulation, as Jesus states, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give it's light, the stars will be falling from heaven and the power in heaven will be shaken...do you think that the satellite system will be survive in the midst of the POWERS OF HEAVEN BEING SHAKEN DURING THIS EVENT??? Does anyone think that ANY of man's technology will save him during this day...it's close to blasphemy...the only stunning revelation here is that a believer in Jesus, King of the Universe, have such an unfaithful, humanistic worldview of who Jesus is...all part of the end-time deception.
