The Antichrist May 04 2010

"Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son." - 1 John 2:22

In your opinion, who is the greatest communicator, past or present? Is it someone like Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Billy Graham, or Ronald Reagan? The Bible talks about a great communicator, but it might not be the one you would immediately think of. This person will come at the end of time with a twisted message and a deceptive agenda. He's called the Antichrist.

He will be a world leader and extraordinarily gifted, with charisma and a tremendous intellect. He will appear to be a good man bringing unity to the world, but all the while he is the embodiment of evil. He will prey on the desire for worldwide peace and economic prosperity. But, listen closely to avoid being led astray by someone as evil as the Antichrist. Don't expect him to come with horns and a pitchfork. Judge what he says about Jesus. That will determine if he is truly the Antichrist.

How important it is to know the Word of God. The Word warns us to be on the lookout for that deceiver and to not be tricked. All indications to me is that in general we are a very gullible people. Tickle our ears with what we want to hear and that is all it takes to gather a following crowd. Thank God that He gives us His very Word so we will not be led astray. It is sad to watch the level of trickery that goes on these days. It seems the soil is being tested in advance of the arrival of the anti-christ. Seems the way is being cleared. Does he have helpers that come before him similar to how John the Baptist came before Jesus? Just wondering.

Oh, the irony.

I am so thankful tonight that I am in Christ and have the wisdom and discernment He has given me. The Bible says Even the elect if it were possible can be fooled by the anti-christ. Of course there are many anti-christ preceding the one final anti-christ. We need to practice putting on the whole armor now so we can stand against the schemes of the devil. I am grateful for this forum, RFTH where I can publicly proclaim my praise to the Lord Jesus Christ.
