The Original Sin
"When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." - Genesis 3:6
Sin began in the Garden of Eden as the devil tempted the original couple to disobey God. And how did he bring about this willingness to fall into sin? He told them that the Word of God could not be trusted. The "original sin" occurred when Adam and Eve accepted Satan's word that God was a liar, and to this day, the devil's point of attack is to draw us away from the will of God by attacking His Word—the trustworthiness and authority of scripture. When Satan is successful in doing this, then man begins to make himself his own god and seeks to do what is right in his own eyes.
Sin began when Adam and Eve chose to stop trusting God and start playing god themselves. They allowed their own desires to replace the Word of God. Sadly, this sin has become engrained in the nature of man and has, over time, caused man to rationalize, justify, and perform even the most heinous acts of evil.
How about you? As you face temptations and decisions, do you listen to the Word of God and obey, or do you let Satan help you justify your own desires? One way is the best. The other way makes a mess.

I trust the word of God. There was a time I just said I trusted His word, but not anymore. He said to ask and I did. My husband had a heart attack and was not able to work or do anything. We had 4 little kids and I had to find help. So I asked God if he would heel him ? I felt in my spirit that He would. About 5 months latter God woke me up and said tell Buddy he is heeled. So I got out of bed went in the livingroom and said Buddy God said you are heeled. I turned around and weny back to bed and sleep. The next week we had to go for his checkup and the docter could not believe it. There was no sign that he had ever had a heart attack. To this day there is still no sign . 3/4's of his heart had been damaged. So always trust God's word it is wonderful and I praise God all the yime. - Dtane
I think we tend to ignore GOD as we sin. We realize that what we do is not his will and continue to sin anyway. I know this happens far too often in my life, and it is really time for a change. I pray that we find a desire to follow GOD's will to the fullest and not ignore what he commands. - Bnjamn
Often I start out on the right track... first thing in the morning... giving it all to you LORD. Then as the 'busy-ness' of the 'crazy-ness' of my day sets off running a hundred miles per hour... I forget and let go. Not sure how or when or why that happens... but I'm out there, all alone, trying to do 'it' all on my own. Tripping, falling, getting scraped up and bleeding.
Then somewhere in the darkness of the night, in the solitude of my bed... I catch up to you, or you catch up to me (and I know that YOU've been there the whole time) - but I think I dropped your hand FATHER GOD. And I'm sorry once more. I ask your forgiveness once more. And I ask you to take charge once more. Tonight, I'm also asking for you to hang on a little tighter tomorrow... just in case I forget... or stumble... once again. - krn
