WWJD?
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine. so neither can you unless you abide in Me." - John 15:4
God's Word tells us, "Look, before you speak, before you act, in whatever you do, ask yourself, 'Is this what Jesus would say? Is this what Jesus would do? Will Jesus be pleased with me? Is my life going to be distinct and separate from the people of the world? Are they going to be able to tell that I belong to Jesus by what I say, by how I act?'" That is the challenge that God's Word gives us today.
But how can we learn to answer that key question, "What would Jesus do?" God tells us that we're to soak in the Word. We're to read it; we're to study it; we're to meditate on it; and we're to live it. We should gather with our fellow believers to worship, to sing hymns, to sing praise songs, to sing spiritual songs. It is through the teaching and preaching of the Word that God admonishes us to live for Him, and we're inspired through the gathering together of worship and encouraged by one another when we sing our praise songs to God. That's part of the spirit we're to have in the body of Christ and it is through that Spirit that we learn how Jesus would have us deal with this world.

I ask myself these questions all the time and a lot of times, I give into the wrong idea and answers, but God is so amazing a forgiving that He still gave me another chance to fix that. Thank you Jesus. - Adrian Rodriguez

Isn't it wonderful to serve a God of second chances? He loves us so much. - Kevin Cox
If you were born again (see yesterday), then you have been grafted in to the Vine. One evidence of this is that you will start to "bear good fruit". The Holy Spirit will guide you if you continually study the Word and seek guidance through prayer and support from other believers. However, beware those who quote scripture to confuse you. "Judge not" and WWJD have been twisted to deflect Christians who stand by what Christ actually says that we should and should not do. On the other hand, never assume that someone is so "lost" that God won't find them and draw them to His Son, think: Saul. Being a loving and steadfast Christian in the world today requires the same courage and faith that it always has. God bless this ministry. - G man
When a branch is attached to the vine it gets the nutrition that it needs to grow and produce. This is the same way with a Christian, we will produce and bloom. When a person is allways complaining and whinning they need to check to see if they are truly attached or are they just leaning against the vine. God bless everyone and have a good day. - Jerry
I have a question for Gman and Jerry regarding bearing good fruit. Is the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)the same as the crop yield spoken of in the parable of the sower(Matthew 13:23), the seed that fell on the good soil and yielded a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown? The sermon in church today was based on the sower verse. I think of fruit of the Spirit as those blessed attitudes portrayed in the verse and the yield in the parable of the sower as souls saved but it is God who does the actual saving of souls so I have a little confusion about this and thought you might help. Thanks for your thoughts. - Janice
Janice,
The Fruits of the Spirit are nine qualities of a Christian life that is produced by the Spirit in those who walk in dependence on him. When we strive to be in his will and we do as the Bible instructs us to do then these different fruits become present in our lives. In the Scripture about the Sower going forth this is depicting the Precious Word of God being spread, the seeds will fall on different types of soil, some good and some not. This is the different ways people will accept the word of God. The good soil is the heart that is ready, willing and receptive. This heart will accept the Word and will let it grow and be nourished by the Spirit and it will become productive and will eventually mature and will be used by God to reach others. All true Christians should desire to have all nine fruits in our lives. Thank you for asking me to comment on this. At a time when we have all kinds of false worshiping as in the day we live God want to give us the very best "true" gifts that Heaven has to offer. I pray as you mature in your walk with him, that you will see these in yourself. - Jerry
