Happy Mother's Day May 10 2009

"Her children arise and call her blessed." - Proverbs 31:28a

Kids start to develop some pretty interesting perceptions of the world at an early age. Notice the answers some second-graders gave when asked about their mothers.

Q: Why did God make mothers?
A: To help us out of there when we were getting born.

Q: What ingredients are mothers made of?
A: God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.

Q: Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
A: God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's moms like me.

Q: What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
A: She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer? Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say "NO" to drugs and "YES" to chores?

Q: What does your mom do in her spare time?
A: Mothers don't do spare time.

Q: If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
A: I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

While they may not have it all figured out yet, they do know how important their mothers are in their lives. As these kids can tell you, motherhood is the toughest, most demanding, and important job in the world. With the many choices for women today, let's not forget that there is no calling of God more important than being a mom.

From conception to their ages now of 29-31 and 33, ALL labors have been labors of love. Not for a moment have I forgotten that God gave them to ME, trusting me to do His will, teaching them TO LIVE IN HIS WORD. I praise Him daily for my most precious gifts and hope he is pleased with my words and actions as a Mother. Yes, THE most important and best job I have ever had. We have used mistakes as experiences to learn and grow from, seeking forgiveness and not making the mistake again. I have been so richly blessed as tears run down my cheeks this morning in happiness that I am a Mother. I can not forget my own Mother that raised me in the church, with a love for Jesus Christ. How else would I know how to raise my own? Happy Mothers Day to my friends on this site. God bless you today

I was one before Christ who did not want any children b/c they would be an obstacle to my career. After the Lord saved me, He blessed me with many children and I am so thankful to have raised them up in the truth of God's word. For all the mothers reading this: God has given you a precious ministry and He WILL give you the sufficient grace to love your children and be there for them.

Mother's day is a very special day, and it should be held with the highest of respect. God bless everyone and Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers.

It is my considered opinion that if the Dads of America did 80% as well at their "job" and the Mom's of America do at theirs, our country would be a remarkably different and better place.

Bless you ladies.

Grant,
How right you are, I have noticed over the many years of being in the Ministry that if the men in the church would do half as much as the women in the church do, the churches would be busting out at the seams with people trying to find a place to sit during the services. Men have let God down in their services and have not done what we as men should be doing. We will be having a seminar at the church where I pastor in the fall of 2009 with the theme bein "Bringing Men back to Biblical Standards". I ask God to help me each day to serve him beter. Have a blessed day.
