The hatred that they show is very dangerous, we need to pray for these people that they will allow the Holy Spirit to show them the truth about Jesus Christ. He is a very loving Saviour and he will save them if they will just trust in him and believe on the work he completed on Calvary. Mohammed was a very evil prophet and his teachings promoted violence. Everyone wants to be politically correct in not offending anybody who is muslim, well I myself don't mind telling them that Jesus is the way to Heaven (or Paradise if you will) and anyone who tries to go there any other way is the same as a thief and a robber. Jerry, you should have put more emphasis on THEY call this a peaceful religion. I have read countless books regarding anything from the formation of the modern day Middle East to the fundamentals of Sharia Law. The bottom line is that whether it's extremists or more moderate Muslims, their religion is growing at a rate surpassing Christianity so we need to spread the word of Christ more effectively. To try and understand the mindset of someone that is willing to blow themself up is futile. We regard human life as sacred whereas Muslim extremists do not. You can never find common ground when a principle value like that is seen so differently. In case anyone does not know, the philosophy of the Quran is to convert all in the world to Islam. Those not willing to convert? Kill them. Plain and simple. Yes, a peaceful religion to the core.

I couldn't agree with you more.... however the "other side" would argue that God did a lot of killing in the Old Testament - some of the verses display the furious and jealous anger and rage that end in crushing whole communities. God did this killing before Jesus came.... just as Mohammed (their God) did his killings before these current sacrifices came (suicide bombers). It's a parallel belief system. I don't think it's about them not believing in Jesus, I think they get his sacrifice - this is more about which God is the one true God. And not how do we rip their belief system apart, but how can we love them into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

It's not surpriseing that the Islamics hate the Jews. Look to the story of Ishmael and Isaac. Before Isaac came along, Ishmael was the favored one. hen along cam Isaac, and Ismael had to take a back seat. Ishmael was jealous of Isaac and it seems he did every thing he could to torment Isaac. For this he and his mother were driven away from the only life or security they knew. Since it is obvious from the story that Ishmael did not have a close relationship with the Lord, he followed his natural inclination, which was to blame Isaac for all that had happened to him. It seems that Islam has carried this hate and resentment into their religion today. It is no wonder they hate the Jews, since they probably feel the same way Ishamel did about Isaac they blame Israel for all their troubles.

It wasn't just in the Old Tesament. "Christians" went through a period of killing in the name of God, called the Inquisition. Not all people who claim to be Christians really are. Jesus will give each of us one of two answers at Judgement; "Well done good and faithful servant", or "depart from me - I never knew you".

As for Islam, I believe that radical Islam has given us a great opportunity. Those in the mission field tell me that there has been a great increase in converts from that religion to belief in our Lord. God never promised that everyone would be among His chosen (saved), but he did command us to share the good news with all who have ears to hear. The Holy Spirit will do the rest.

It is very sad that so many people in the world still believe that by perpetrating violence on fellow human beings they will earn a place in paradise. They are invariably identified with their erroneous thoughts that never represent reality. I pray that the time comes when all human beings recognise the importance and indeed great need of living in peace with each other.

The real roots of muslim religion is violent and carries a spirit of antichrist with it. The muslims you see that "are" actually peaceful are following a watered down doctrine. But America loves to be naive about things like that. That is very sad.

Jesus never killed anyone - and yet over the years, those who claimed to be acting his name - have killed those they deemed to be heretics & witches. Religion can be a dreadful thing, even when it is promulgated in the name of Our Lord. God on the other hand is love - would that many - who claim to speak in His Name - would remember it.
