He had not spoken with her since high school and was enjoying their impromptu reunion. She had been his favorite teacher, one that had made a major impact on his life. And the impact went far beyond the facts and information she taught him. It was also the character she had role-modeled, the times she had stood beside him, and the faith she projected.
He proudly told her of the things he had accomplished and of his family, then asked her what had happened in her life for the last twenty years. "How's Millie?" he asked, referring to an energetic, always-smiling eight-year-old he had often seen playing in her classroom after school. Her eyes suddenly became sad and misty as she told him that Millie had died a few years earlier. "She had an unexpected and unexplained heart attack when she was twenty-three." He was stunned, of course. "I don't know how it is possible to handle that," he began. "I could never have the strength to handle the death of my child."
After he finished speaking, his teacher presented him with one more bit of wisdom. "I've discovered that sometimes God does not give us the strength we need until we need it." She continued, "But then when you do need it, you can always count on His providing it."

Yes, report it NevermindI have a fellow co-worker who is facing the loss of his 4 year old grand daughter who has been fighting a rare brain cancer the past couple of years. They just came out on Monday and said they will no longer treat her and expect her to live no longer than 6 weeks. They are celebrating Christmas this weekend as she won't make it to that time. He and his family need strength now more than ever and hope they can find comfort in the lord. www.sophiashope.org

Yes, report it NevermindI have found the strength to cope with the loss of my mother, my father, my husband, and my home. Before all this happened, I would have never imagined that I would have the strenth to cope with these losses, but when the time came God gave me the strength.

Yes, report it NevermindGrant, I agree with you on your comment about the tough times we are about to have but America has been asking for this for a long time and it looks like we are going to get what we are asking for as a country.When Israel kept asking for a king to rule over them, it wasn't Gods plan for them but he gave them what they asked for and they have been paying for it ever since. When things get tough, just hold your head up and tell yourself "There's nothing going to happen to me today that God and I can't handle." Have a blessed day.

Yes, report it NevermindTHE LORD IS MY STRENGTH, FORTRESS, STRONG TOWER,THROUGH HIM ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE, ALONE I CAN ACCOMPLISH OR BE NOTHING. I JUST LOST MY BESTFRIEND/SISTER A MONTH OR SO AGO TO LUKEMIA. NEVER KNEW SHE HAD IT. SHE WAS DIAGNOSED ON A TUES. STARTED CHEMO ON WEDS. AND PASSED AWAY FROM A BRAIN HEMMORAGE AND HEART FAIL THAT FRIDAY. I HONESTLY HUMANLY DIDN'T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO DEAL WITH HER SUDDEN DEATH AND NOT BEING ABLE TO BE THERE FOR HER FUNERAL. BUT I SPENT HOURS IN PRAYER AND THANKFULNESS THAT HE WAS MERCIFUL AND ANSWERED OUR PRAYERS THAT HER AND PRAYED THAT HIS WILL BE DONE. GOD IS TRULY AWESOME AND WE TEND TO FORGET HE KNOWS EVERYTHING AND SEES EVERYTHING BEFORE WE CAN EVEN COMPREHEND IT. IF IT WASN'T FOR GOD BEING MY STRENGTH I DON'T WHERE I WOULD BE.

I give God all power. I been healed from my disease and my daughter is 9 years old. He know that GOD IS MY STRENGTH.
